Smith has recently redesigned the website for print finishing and packaging wholesaler McKinleys. The brief was to produce a new, responsive design which builds on the new visual identity previously designed by Smith. The client required a site with higher levels of interactivity for potential clients new to the site whilst simultaneously allowing regular users to access product ordering quickly. This new 'front end' needed to seamlessly bolt onto and integrate with the current warehousing software. Smith produced a simple modular grid which responds easily from desktop down to mobile browsers. The site is much more image-driven and explorative than those of its competitors creating brand distinction and encouraging users to move around the site more and 'reveal' product and service information.
